From Print to Digital

UX-208

Many designers are leaving the world of print and moving to the digital world. When you design for the digital environment, it is important to understand what makes it unique.

This course is part of Netcraft Academy UX Course

From Print to Digital

This course helps print designers to gain the necessary skills to become digital designers as well.

We introduce print designers to the different platforms and their rules; the connection between usability, aesthetics and business objectives; identifying and matching user expectations; and the habits of users, rapid detection of relevant content (findability), an understanding of the technological processes of production and work with developers, adapting the interface to the limitations of technology and more.

We’ll also talk about: digital colors, resolution, borders, grid, fonts for use on the internet, how a designer treats the specifications document and how the designer transfers products for the development process. Finally we will examine must-know digital design trends.
